Stuck in the Middle; living on NATO’s eastern frontier

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Baltic countries of
Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have gained independence, joined the
Euopean Union and NATO, and forged their individual European
pathways whilst maintaining close geographical and cultural links
with Russia.

With tensions between NATO and Russia at a post-Cold War low, what is life like for those who live their lives straddling the border between Russia and Estonia?
